A message passed to us from Calderdale Community Foundation
Hi, wow what a week! I just received some great news and wondered if you could help spread the news. For any donations we receive to the flood appeal, the government will match it £ for £. (This includes donations already made too)
Our aim is to hit £1m quickly to provide emergency relief to those that need it.
If you can continue to spread the word by text message, email and social media that would be very helpful. People can donate at https://t.co/dGyOTpy3bd
If you are planning on running fundraising events or know people that are, please contact us, as we may well be able to match fund all those offline activities too. So whether its a book sale, concert or raising funds for specific causes, if we can turn £10 in to £20, £100 in to £200 or £1000 to £2000 with no extra effort from your side that has to be a good thing!
Thank you again for your incredible support!
Ward Forums are for people in Calderdale to get involved in what happens in your local area and discuss what is important to you. By working together we can talk about local issues and plan for the future. The meetings are a great place to meet your local councillors, Calderdale Council staff, police and other services we work with. The evenings start with refreshments and a chance to network and chat informally.
Wednesday 9th September 2015, 7.00pm start with refreshments and signing in from 6.30pm. Heath United Reformed Church, Free School Lane, Halifax HX3 0DW
